Yacht Engineering has a vacancy of Chemical Compliance Specialist at our client – Canon (in Venlo, Netherlands).

Responsibilities:
As a Chemical Compliance Specialist, you will be at the forefront of ensuring product safety and compliance across a diverse range of chemicals and products. Your responsibilities will include:
•    Managing international product registrations, notifications, and annual compliance reporting
•    Entering product data into relevant EU databases
•    Providing essential safety information for product labeling and reviewing labels for accuracy
•    Ensuring all compliance information is shared with Canon companies worldwide.
•    Collaborating closely with colleagues and specialists in product development to maintain global regulatory compliance
•    Compiling and registering critical data in chemical safety databases

Your Impact
Imagine working on cutting-edge Graphic Arts printers designed to deliver stunning prints at speeds exceeding 150 m²/hour on various materials, from porous paper to flexible vinyl. These inks must meet strict global chemical regulations and internal standards.
In this role, you will prepare compliance records for the inks in our upcoming products, working ahead of R&D projects to streamline the go-to-market process. As final formulations take shape, you will verify documentation, ensure all necessary registrations, and make required notifications for a successful worldwide product launch.
 

Functie-eisen

Job requirements
We seek a highly organized and collaborative team player who can support our chemical engineers throughout the development and market release processes.
You should meet the following criteria:
•    Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry
•    Knowledge of chemical legislation (REACH, CLP, GHS) is a plus
•    Ability to oversee the required documentation and support the chemical engineers in the development process and in the market release preparations

Competencies
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
•    Knowledge of Dutch is a big plus
•    Strong attention to detail and accuracy
•    Strong collaborative skills
•    Eligibility to work in the Netherlands—no relocation required
 

Arbeidsvoorwaarden

Terms of employment
We offer a challenging position in which you can work in a dynamic environment, guaranteeing diversity in your work and creating plenty of opportunities for personal development. It concerns a secondment agreement at Canon via Yacht for one year, with possibility of extension and permanent contract at the company; for 40 hours per week (working on site).
We offer a competitive package of employment conditions according to the seniority of the position (salary between € 3.201,00 - € 5.436,00 - gross per period of 4 weeks, based on 40 h per week).

Location: Venlo
32-40 hours a week
