Are you ready to take on a challenging and dynamic role in project engineering? As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you’ll join our Warehousing Project Engineering Department in Veghel, where we design and implement cutting-edge material handling systems. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and working under the guidance of a Project Leader, you’ll play a pivotal role in executing complex projects with mechanical and electrical components.
What you’ll do as a Mechanical Project Engineer:
In this role, you’ll work on projects that integrate various products and modules provided by R&D. Rather than focusing on narrow, specialized areas, you’ll apply your knowledge broadly to deliver solutions that meet customer logistics requirements while addressing building complexity, functionality, and safety measures.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Design Creation: Develop 3D designs, from initial sketches to final customer approval, using CAD software.
- Bill of Materials (BoM): Create accurate BoMs and collaborate with Supply Chain teams to ensure timely delivery within customer specifications.
- Site Support: Provide knowledge-based support to site installation teams, either remotely or on-site.
- Problem-Solving: Address challenges that arise during the engineering or installation/commissioning phases, ensuring smooth project execution.
- Cross-Disciplinary Coordination: Work closely with multiple disciplines to ensure alignment in design and tooling, maintaining a hands-on approach to your work.

What do we ask from you?
- To be successful in this role, you have at least a Bachelor in a technical area eg Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Automotive Engineering.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbally and in writing in English.
- An entrepreneurial spirit, anticipating and mitigating project risks, and dealing with issues in a practical environment.
- A cooperative mindset, enthusiastic to work in multidisciplinary, international teams, and like to share your knowledge with your coworkers.
- Willing to travel around 10% internationally.

Arbeidsvoorwaarden
Terms of employment
- We offer a challenging position in which you can work in a dynamic environment, guaranteeing diversity in your work and creating plenty of opportunities for personal development. It concerns a secondment agreement at Vanderlande Industries B.V. via Yacht for 6 months (with possibility of extension and permanent contract), for 40 hours per week (working on site).
- We offer a competitive package of employment conditions according to the seniority of the position (salary between €3300 - €4700 gross per period of 4 weeks, based on 40 h per week).

90% on site at Veghel, 10% travel
