We’re looking for an expert in Fuel Economy, Emissions, and Diagnostics to help drive engine innovation and performance!
Your Role & Expertise:
- Fuel Economy, Emissions, and Diagnostics: Specialize in exhaust aftertreatment diagnostics (SCR, DPF, DOC), engine diagnostics (fuel injection systems, misfire), with calibration and validation experience.
- Enhance Engine Performance: Tackle exciting challenges in Startability, Heat Rejection, Torque and Speed, and NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness).
- Subsystem Optimization: Optimize Turbochargers, Valvetrain Timing, Coolant/Oil Pumps to improve engine fuel consumption.
- Innovative Investigations: Use simulations, data analysis, and scope requests to explore new engine innovations.
- Investigations & Support: Conduct failure reports, diagnostics, and scope requests, while supporting property owners.
- Customer Collaboration: Translate vehicle division requirements into technical specifications for engine development.
Bonus: Experience in either exhaust aftertreatment diagnostics or engine diagnostics development will be highly valued.

- Master’s Degree in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in engine performance development and testing (heavy-duty diesel)
- Strong understanding of key engine performance aspects
- Proficient in data analysis and simulation techniques
- Advanced English skills are mandatory
- Proactive attitude with excellent stakeholder management capabilities
- Structured approach with high analytical capacity
- Ability to present complex topics to high-level management

Arbeidsvoorwaarden
Primary employment conditions
- 12 times a monthly salary based on experience (up to €7000,- gross per month)
- 8.33% holiday pay calculated over 12 monthly salaries
Contract form
- Minimum one-year contract, with the aim of transitioning to an indefinite contract
- You will always receive 100% of your salary during your employment contract

A thorough understanding of the relevant engine performance & integration elements and of the technical requirements it brings to the engine concepts is of very high importance.
