PACCAR Global Engines is the center of competence for engine and aftertreatment development within PACCAR. Within Global Engines department, the Certification Development team is responsible for certification activities to obtain and maintain emission and OBD certificates. This consists of engine dyno and vehicle testing including all mandatory documentation of our products.
Certification documentation (including AECD / AES / OBD) is content of the submittal process. The AECD/AES documentation describes how the engine/aftertreatment and its controls are working under standard conditions and where it is deviating from the standard controls including the possible emission impact. OBD documentation describes all the on board diagnostic monitors including calibration details. With this vacancy we look for a well-qualified:

• Create and maintain certification documentation (AECD / AES / OBD)
o Discuss content of emissions and OBD documentation
o Authoring parts of the documentation with consultation of the technical experts
o Planning, tracking and reviewing changes
o Guide the editing, reviewing and approval process
• Maintain and create scripting for automated documentation creation and review
• Maintenance and development of tooling to control, maintain and optimize requirement processes and documentation

Job profile
• Bachelor or Master Degree in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering
• Experience with (heavy duty diesel) engines and aftertreatment; calibration and/or On-Board Diagnostics background
• Experience with different types of scripting (Python, XLST etc.)
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills are mandatory
• Advanced English skills are mandatory
• Knowledge in using DITA and associated documentation tools
• Structured working approach combined with progress monitoring within the department
• Challenged by securing technical knowledge into documentation
• Pro-active attitude and the ability to work with many different stakeholders and organizations
